Renee J. Davis is an emerging designer and artist, specializing in silversmithing. Her work incorporates gold, semiprecious stones, seaglass and other intriguing elements.
In addition to metalsmithing, Renee is skilled in lamp work bead making, dichroic glass work, cloisonne enameling, chasing and reppouse techniques, forging and etching. Her jewelry making talents also include the use of precious metal clay, precious and semiprecious stones and water casting.
Renee engages in artistic studies with local artists and jewelers, as well as extensive self-studies in jewelry making theory, styles
and techniques.
Renee is a member of the American Craft Council, the Florida Goldsmiths Society, Florida Craftsmen, Inc., Art Center Manatee, Art Center St. Petersburg and the Sarasota Shell Club and shows her work throughout Florida.
Renee lives and works in Palmetto, Florida with her husband Ken and their four Australian Cattle Dogs.
